SIDNEY HERALD Around our oreo 'WEDNESDAY, JULY,13, 2016 3A Obituary Frankie Barman 1954-2016 Mass of the Christian Burial for Frankie Bur- man, 62, Sidney, was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Jim O'Neil as presider. Wake services were at 6 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Fulkerson-Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Every- one is welcome to come to the wake service. Interment took place in the Sidney Cemetery, Sid- ney, under the direction of the Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home of Sidney. Remembrances, condo- lences and pictures may be shared with the family at www.fulkersons.com. Frankie Claire was born on Jan. 12, 1954, in Willis- ton, N.D. to Clarence and Ethel (Weber) Christian- son of Alexander, N.D. She was one of two children. Frankie was raised on the family farm 15 miles south west of Alexander, N.D. She attended grade school at Moline County S~hool, a little country school 4 miles from home. S~e spent most of her time p|aying in the barn with ~tnnhe kittens and riding es.with her older sister, le. !Frankie was also in- volved in 4-H club during grade school. She attended Mgh school and gradu- ated from Alexander High School, in 1972. Her main goal in life was caring for people which brought her to enroll in nursing school. Frankie received her LPN license degree from Wil- liston State College, taking her to work in Billings for her first job. She later moved back to Sidney and started working at the Sidney Health Center for 30 years. Her second family was all the nurses she worked with. On Friday, the 13th of August, 1976, Frankie was united in marriage to the love of her life Jess Bur- man, Sidney. Frankie was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Sidney. Her main hobbies were garden- ing and taking care of their two boys, Travis Jay and Brent James and later four grandchildren. They have remained in Sidney and would have celebrated their 40th anniversary on Aug. 13, 2016. Frankie liked garage sales, collecting Christmas snowman, tea cups and bells. She enjoyed traveling to the Oregon Coast and to Branson, Mo., with her sister and brother-in-law. You better not bother her when the Denver Bronco football game is on! Frankie died early Thursday morning, July 7, 2016, at her home in Sidney. Surviving her are: her husband, Jess Burman, Sidney; her two sons, Travis Burman and Brent (Eva) Burman all of Bismarck, N.D.; her four grandchildren, Orion, Trinity, Kylee and Carter; her sister, Bonnie (Jim) Evanson, Livingston; her nephew, Todd (Rynelle) Evanson, Bismarck, N.D.; her niece, Jamie Evanson, Livingston; her great- nephews and niece, Cam- eron, Conner, and Makiah; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by: her parents. Free evaluation for veterans scheduled this week Sidney-area disabled v,eterans are invited to re- ceive a free evaluation and t eatment for chronic pain, as well as free assistance l~keparing their compensa- tion claims to the Veterans Administration. '.The free services are available Friday through Sunday at the Wingate Hotel located at 1490 S. Central Ave. ~ Times are 1-8 p.m. Friday, 1i a.m. to 4 p.m. satm~day and 9 a.m. to I p.m. Sunday. This outreach is in conjunction with the Rural Institute for Veterans' Education and Research (RIVER) Community Veterans EMT program (CVEMT). Students of the RIVER CVEMT program will be on hand to provide assistance and help with ongoing issues. The free assistance pro- vided by RIVER is in coop- eration with Eric Serejski, LAC, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) by Eric Wells, Veterans Services officer. Veterans are encouraged to bring with them the following documentation or materials to assist in preparing their claim: Any DD214s, medical records and proof of any claims.
