The goal of the Cattle Crawl is to bring urban con- sumers together with produc- ers, showcase beef while al- lowing consumers tO visit with producers all while en- joying fabulous atmosphere and some incredible beef recipes. This event will show- case the variety and the taste beef can add to any meal at anybody's table. Albin cautions that last year's cattle crawl was sold out and that only 100 tickets are available. Tickets can be purchased for $6O at Stockman Bank, Wells Fargo or the Lucky Buckle. Tickets cover the meals, beverages and trans- portation to each location. Council:' I FROM PAGE IA According to the new re- newal policy, in 2010 the com- pany will require a 120-day notice if the city elects not to renew, which means it needs City leaders decide to s nqJ to be received by the city in January so council can meet and vote in February. Groshart said it was unfair for a 120-day deadline if the company cannot guarantee the renewal rates. "We've changed it up this year, so you have to come and see what's different," Albin said. The tour begins at the Cat- tle-ac at 4 p.m. July 12. Buses will then transport partici- pants to the South 40 in Sid- ney, Double Barrel Saloon and Casino in Fairview and Outlaw's Bar and Grill in Watford City, N:D. For more information about the Cattle Crawl, call Laura Schieber, 480-5391, or Albin, 433-LUCK. editor@sidneyherald.om letter to authority Council decided to stay with the insurance company and to send a letter to the board about the renewal deadline. reporter@sidneyherald.com School receives applica R? Bill VANI)ER WI:Elf SIDNEY HERALD It appears the Sidney School District will avoid a possible unfair labor practice com- plaint from the Montana Education Associa- tion-Montana Federation of Teachers. The objection dealt with Synneva Meldahl, a teacher for 32 years, facing the prospect of performing the duties of a piano accompa- nist at the high school. At a committee meeting in June, Sherry McMorris, Sidney Education Association, says the Montana Education Association- Montana Federation of Teachers is very con- Twins: nt for piano accompanisl fident that it would be successful with an un- fair labor practice complaint. Meldahl stated to trustees that having the accompanist duties were "an' insult" and "very degrading." Trustees stated they would continue to search for.a piano accompanist to solve the problem. Since that time, a school official reports Virginia Herrick has applied for the position. Herrick will be recommended to be hired during July's school board meeting. editorsidneyherald.com They look forward to fun time in Larnbert FROM PAGE 1A exact date and time he had his last drink: Nov. 30, 1962, at 8:45 p.m. Rehbein continued ranch- ing until 1973 when he moved to Gillette and worked for Farmer's Co-op until his re- tirement in 1999. Living separate lives, the twins didn't spend much time together, especially when it came to celebrating their birthday. That changed in 2004 when Rehbein drove to Oregon to surprise his sis- ter for their 75th birthday. "I thought it'd be quite a sur- prise for her," Rehbein said. It was. "She started crying, and then she brought a tear to my eye." They then promised to see each other for their 80th birthday earlier this year, Jan. 27, but because plaDs fell through, that didn't hap- pen. Now they're commemo- rating it in front of family and friends this weekend. No plans have been made for what they'll do besides the Fourth, but both say they look forward to the occasion. Everyone is welcome to at- tend. reporter@sidneyherdd.com y coupons a | II " ' co,, :: :: : ' " ' Candy Bouquet ' I ] ipon expires Fd,, July 31 I I I I t II I ca,oy Bo o.ve.
