Connie Best, president, presented the recognitions and awards for the past year. "Girl of the Year" was awarded to Kathleen O'Sullivan and "Best Program of the Year" was awarded to Pat Child and Kathleen O'Sullivan. New Legacy gifts were presented to Kathy Albarteon and Linda ForceUa. Committee chairman awards were given to Sue Zlmmerman, Mild Hulett, Lola Hanson and Pat Child. Those receiving officer awards were Connie Best, Kathleen O'Sullivan, vice president; Kathy Albartson, secretary, and Barbara Johnson, treasurer. Candidates receiving the Ritual of Jewels were Elaine Barone, Joyce Cummings, Lincla Forcella, Pat Thorndai and Virginia Oraw. The new pledges initiated into Beta Sigma Phi were Arleen Moran, Myrna Brodhead, Marlys Werle, Sharon Heikens, Kathy Jansen and Shirley Williams. Guests attending from Glendive's Alpha Iota Chapter included Lorraine Gabert, Kay Shirby and Judy Simard. Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening was Barbara Johnson. The next meeting will be May 3 at the home of Llnda Forcella. Patsy D. James J. Haworth, Montana personnel mzpervisor for the telephone firm =mid of =)me apprentice employe| now undergoing training in con. struction and equipment in- stallation departmeata, 24 are veterans receiving subsistence alloente under the veterans administration program. After four years in the ap- prentice program, trainees can qualify as Journeymen. Ap prenticeshlp training has been in effect for many years in the state and is a Joint program of the company and the In. ternational Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I. B. E. W.). It is regtJtered with the apprenticeship section, Division of Labor Standards, Montana Department of Labor and Industry working in cooperation with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, U. S. Department of Labor. Memorial Gifts The following heart memorials have been received by the Richland County Memorials Chairman for Montana Heart Association: Memorial in the name of Mrs. Leona Whited by Elsie Ray; Memorial in the name of Bill Berringer from Bertha LeSueur and Elsie Minlfle; Memorial in the name of Dorothy Miller from Ada McMillan. Memorial contributions provide a way to perpetuate the memory of a life that luts been lost and a way to help prevent the further suffering of others. All heart memoriak are treed in research. Memorials may be sent to Mrs. Harold Webbar, Pdchland County Memorials Chairman, or directly to the Montana Heart Association, Great Falls. Miss Fas is attending Minor (N.D.) College of Business.
