The survey asks randomly selected hunters a series of short questions about their hunting effort and harvest success for big game, tur- keys, upland game birds and wolves. Wildlife managers say the research is vital to under- standing the results of the 2013 season and for setting next season's hunting regu- lations. "The survey is also a use- ful tool to get some other crucial information," Justin Gude, FWP's research bureau chief for the Wildlife Division, said. "For ex- ample, we record reports of where and when people have seen wolves to aid in the monitoring of wolf popula- tions." The hunter harvest sur- veys will continue through March. 310 2ND AVE NE, SIDNEY * 406-433-2403 • FAX 406-433-7802 WWW.S I D N EYH ERALD.C OM Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday 7 p.m. Court report month and required attendance of ACT and PFL sessions.
